Description
This is the most common vegetation index, widely used both for satellite monitoring and airborne monitoring. It is highly recommended as part of a multi-date monitoring program. It is robust over a wide range of conditions, but provides best results from early- to mid-growth season. Correlated with leaf area values and plant vigor.
